What is EATMI? Can you eat it?

We brought together local rice farmers, bakers, nutritionists, and food science experts. Over three years, we introduced advanced food technology to make rice a true substitute for wheat, solving gluten allergy issues.

Made with 100% locally sourced Penglai rice from Taiwan, EATMI offers a range of rice-based products, including Mi Cheesecake, MiToast, MiMuffin, and rice cookies.

Pure rice formulation, gluten-free, easy to digest, and less likely to cause bloating, delivering exceptional taste while redefining healthy eating in a new way.

Rice Flavor – EATMI Is Born

Over the past 40 years, dietary habits in Taiwan have changed significantly. Once known as a rice-eating kingdom, Taiwan has seen rice consumption decline by more than half compared to the past, and rice surplus has become a serious social issue.

To address the issue of rice surplus and promote responsible consumption and production toward sustainability, and to help people rediscover the beauty of rice, EATMI decided to act from the very source.

We partnered with farmers in the Kaohsiung–Pingtung region to cultivate Kaohsiung No. 147, a champion rice variety awarded in Japan. The harvested rice is carefully selected at the milling facility, then processed into rice flour through a stone-milling process. Finally, in EATMI’s cross-contamination-free factory, pastry chefs create exquisite rice cakes, while bakers develop a series of rice-based Toast and “MiMuffin” products.

This is how EATMI came to be.
